Creating abstract art at Shoalstone, Brixham

£10 Donation

Creative workshops with Claire Burston and Mickaelle Begue.

Learn how to create abstract art from the beautiful landscape around us.

We are both currently studying for the MA in Creative Art and Health at Marjon University, Plymouth. Mickaelle is a teacher with a background in textiles. Claire is a qualified BACP accredited humanistic, existential counsellor with a background in fine art.

Art and creative therapies are treatments which involve activities such as painting, drawing, photography, dance, music, drama, sand tray and clay. There is no need to have any experience or skills and people of any age can benefit from it. Creating can be a good source of mindfulness by simply being in the present moment and immersing oneself in the activity. It can be done alone or within a group, promoting connection, purpose, and better well-being.

(A selection of teas, coffee, soft drinks, and biscuits available).
